Photos of an interesting habitat found in the playground of the CRGS

During August 2006 many different species were found in the area underneath the oak tree (Quercus robur),
see photo, they are listed below. An unexpectedly biodervise habitat.
Bark-lice Psocids (Psocoptera: Psocideae).
Beetle mites (Acari: Oribatidae).
Green lacewings Chrysoperla carnea (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae), larvae, pupae and imagos.
Ladybirds (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae): Harlequin ladybird Harmonia axyridis forms succinea, conspicua and
spectabilis, larvae, pupae, exuvia and imagos. Scymnus auritus, imagos. Ten-spot ladybird Adalia 10-punctata,
imagos. Possibly the very common back pupae were of 10-spot ladybirds. Two-spot ladybird Adalia 2-puntacta,
imagos.
Leaf beetles, unidentified imagos.
Leafhoppers (Homoptera: Cicadellidae), nymphs and imagos.
Moths (Lepidoptera): Micro moths, pupae and exuvia, unidentified. Vapourer moth Orygia antiqua, caterpillar.
Lesser swallow prominent Pheosia gnoma.
Smut beetles Olibrus corticalis (Coleoptera: Phalacridae), imagos.
Spiders Arachnidae: common garden spider, wolf spider Lycosidae, and orb web spiders.
