A Stag Night in Colchester, Essex, UK.

Here are some photos of a spontaneous stag beetle mating behaviour which took place in a street during a wery warm summer evening, 7th June 2003.
In the space of 25 minutes three beetles managed to mate with the only female around.
I was extremely lucky to have been able to capture this absolutely amazing mating display in the wild.
